Advanced BMPs, such as Treatment, Shelter, Infiltration and Containment, are available for facilities that desire a proactive approach to guarantee clean results.
Advanced BMPs are not generally required unless a facility cannot control pollutants with the minimum BMPs. However, many sites already have some type of advanced BMPs in place. Advanced BMPs will be required if a site has pollutant exceedances, and enters into Level 1 and Level 2 Status. Advanced BMPs include:
- Exposure Minimization BMPs: Additional covered areas.
- Stormwater Containment: Retention Ponds
- Discharge Reduction BMPs: Diversion, infiltration, and reuse.
- Treatment Control BMPs: Storm water treatment systems may be necessary to achieve sample results below annual or instantaneous NALs.
Storm Water Systems offers comprehensive advanced BMP solutions that include the four most common and likely options to manage NAL exceedances:
- Retention Ponds
In evaluating your needs, our engineers and expert QISPs will determine an Advanced BMP Plan that may include implementing one or more of these Advanced BMP Options.
